It's Short Hike from the dam at Silver Lake. The trail isn't very well maintained. It's mostly flat. It's about a .5 mile hike from the Hwy. Plenty of parking at the dam.
Take the trail that starts on the south side of the creek. then just follow the creek until you come out of the trees.
Bring your swim suit. There is a nice spot to swim about 200ft down the creek from the cache. It's really nice in Aug.-Sept when it's hot.
