Geocache Description:

This is the first of a series of caches based on some of the fantastic views I enjoy whilst acting as the family taxi service - there are some compensations!

An easy short walk with great views all round.

There is plenty of parking at the given co ordinates, you may even find an ice cream van to tempt you. This is a popular spot with the bored/lunching workers who seem to spend their lunch hour dosing in the car rather than getting out for a round of golf or a brisk walk. The count today was 3.

On most days it would be brisk as in the words of the golf course website...

" It is not without significance that the prime movers in the establishing of a golf course on Baildon Moor were members of the medical profession. No doubt these pioneers realised the common's potential as a setting for the great game, but they were also keenly aware of the health-giving properties of the moorland air.

Today's enthusiasts are just as appreciative of the breezes wafting at them from the western ocean, and of their tonic effect on the sober and the sanguine, the dissipated and the despondent alike."

The track to within 10 metres of the cache is tarmac, therefore probably suitable for small children, but a pushchair or wheelchair user would not be able to reach the cache itself. If you are unable to get to the cache itself because of mobility problems etc, you can claim the cache by uploading a photo of the view including your GPSr.
