Geocache Description:

This is a small cache located in a roadside park off of Highway 6

Since 1995, I've been driving back and forth from College Station (current home) to visit family and friends near the town of West. During all those drives (usually during holidays), I always passed by this nice roadside park and wondered why such a nice park seemed to be located in the middle of nowhere. During the summer of 2007, while driving back from a Father's Day weekend, I decided to stop and place a cache here. This park contains three historical markers. Stop by, stretch your legs, and expand your knowledge of Texas history.

NOTE: The original cache was a decon box but it went missing in January of 2008. On March 23, 2008 I placed a new container in a better hidding spot.

Congratulations to LifeOnEdge for being the First-To-Find this cache!
