Geocache Description:

This is our annual BBQ event combined with a family campout. Picnic
is Aug 4th from 1 until 4 at Porcupine Springs camp ground Loop B,
with camping at the same place Aug 3rd thru 5th.

Join us for the 2007 edition of the Magic Valley cache bash / MVHBC
in the South Hills. This year we will have a BBQ on Saturday from
1pm until 4pm for the day trippers. There is plenty of parking at
the designated camp site. The posted coords will take you to
Porcupine Springs Camp Ground. Barons of Beef will be BBQ’d
(mmm…mmm) at $2 a plate for adults and $1 for kids. Please bring
your favorite beverage and a side dish, posting what you intend to
bring to ensure a great selection. We will also have a community
cache, so bring some swag to drop in it. Please let me know how
many are planning to participate in the BBQ so I’ll know how many
roasts to cook. For the campers, we will be camping from Friday to
Sunday at Porcupine Campground, Loop B. This is a group campground
featuring individual fire rings and a large central fire ring to
gather around. I have reserved this group site for the weekend.
There are 6 designated camp spots, of which 3 are doubles. There is
plenty of room for trailers and tents. Loop D can serve as an
overflow if necessary. However, these sites are on a first come
first serve basis. I'll be arriving Friday afternoon and look
forward to seeing you all there. The cache bash will also serve as
our monthly “Brew Crew” event and I hope to see all of those
dedicated brew tasters up there. There will be 2 or more kegs of
homebrew at the campground with an open tap. There will be nightly
campfires with friends and plenty of stories to go around. Along
Rock Creek Canyon there are several caches with more to be placed
before the event and there is a night cache planned for Sat night
(bring large flashlights). There are many ATV trails to be
explored, so if ya have em, bring em! Bring your hiking boots and
fishing poles the Beaver Dams are close by and sometimes moose and
deer can be seen. Watch for other activities to be posted.

Due to fire restrictions that are in place there will not be any campfires allowed, arraingments have been made for food preperation if required.
