This is the second annual Early Halloween Geo Bash event! It will
be hosted on the 29th of September and will start at 12:00 pm.
Our event is being held at Halmich Park in Warren, on 13 Mile Road
between Ryan and Dequindre. We want to thank the Warren Parks and
Recreation Department for their very generous donation of the
pavilion and park facilities for this event.
The theme of this event is Halloween. There will be
trick-or-treating for the kids, a costume contest, some new
caches,and much more. We will also be having a raffle for some cool
prizes. You may bring a donation for the prize table if you wish.
This year we are adding a Silent Auction to also help defray the
costs. The nicer prizes that are donated to the event (by us or by
you) will be put on the auction table.
Below is the schedule of the day.
12:00 pm - Event sign in
12:30 pm - Introductions
12:45 pm - Silent Auction started, trick-or-treating, and closest
to the pin
1:00 pm - Most creative snack contest
1:30 pm - Lunch
2:30 pm - Event Game (need teams of 4 to play) need at least 4
teams to play. Rules told at event.
3:15 pm - Costume contest (everyone is able to participate)
4:00 pm - Raffle drawing and prizes awarded for all contests and
silent auction
4:30 pm - Event coins will be sold
4:30 pm - ??? - Socializing and clean up
We will be providing grilled hotdogs, hamburgers, and bottled
water for everyone. If you would like, please bring a dish to pass
for the potluck. Below are suggestions for what you may bring,
based on the first letter of your last name.
A-E Veggies/dip or fruit/dip
F-J Pop
K-O Desserts
P-T Potato/pasta or other salads
U-Z Snacks
We are having an event coin made that will be sold for $10.00
each. The coins will be sold at the event and it is 1 per person
until everyone who wants one has one. The coins are bigger than a
regular coin and is a shaped coin. The coin will also be trackable
on GC
A donation jar will be out to help defray costs for this event.
Any money that we collected over the cost of the event will be
donated to the South East chapter of MIGO.
Update: Please bring a lawn chair if you have one since seats our
limited. The event coin samples came in and there will be 130
made.
