The Horse-Shoe Trail lies in southeastern Pennsylvania, beginning at Valley Forge National Historic Park and ending some 130 miles to the west, where in the mountains north of the town of Hershey, it meets with the Appalachian Trail.

Since 1935, the Horse-Shoe Trail (Horse for riders, Shoe for hikers) has been open to the public, providing hikers and horseback riders a unique opportunity to explore and enjoy the scenic fields, forests, hills, and rural landscapes of southeastern Pennsylvania.
