This is a multicache located in the Charles Ward Reservation. The parking area is located on Prospect Street, Andover.
The Cat Swamp is much less traveled and less appreciated than the solstice stone area of the reservation. It is one of my favorite areas of the reservation. It is a great place for wildlife viewing during the early morning and late afternoon. During the winter you can find owl pellets from roosting owls. During the spring (2016), a great horned owl nested in one of the heron nests. Barred owls are often seen on these trails. In winter, take time to to look for various wildlife tracks, enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The summer offers beautiful foliage and small running brooks.
The first waypoint is small container hanging at eye level. The final is a small container filled with miscellaneous paraphernalia and should be fairly easy to locate.
