Mom's Sudoku

Mom the Cook and Cashnhubby are not only good cachers, they are also good people. For example, I had a cache in which the container was taking on water. While visiting the cache, they kindly replaced the container. Later, I had a chance to meet them and they gave me several caching containers. Later the same day, Mom found me again and gave me a very nifty tool for extracting logs from micros. This kind of selfless generosity cannot go unrecognized (or unpunished).
Since they like puzzle caches and have placed a series of Japanese themed caches, I thought that they might like this simple challenge.
The goal is pretty straight forward. Solve the Sudoku puzzle and then use the answers to fill in the coordinates.

We want you to find the cache. If you spend more than 30 minutes working on this puzzle, please contact us for a hint.
With the price of gas being so high, we want you to find the cache on your first visit to the site. The hint below will tell you exactly where to find the cache.
Before you read the hint, pleae note that the cache is accessible from the west side of the fence and is not in or on the light.
