Geocache Description:

A small cache with a few trading items found at an interesting museum we came across while placing another cache in the Jackson NC area. It's amazing just how far medicine has come from these humble beginnings!!

The following is reprinted from the website Museum.com:

Northampton County Museum Doctor's Office (ca 1840)

Doctor's Office (ca 1840-50) from Rich Square, Northampton County
This Doctor's Office was originally built in Rich Square, Northampton County, North Carolina by or for Dr. C.G.C Moore circa 1840-1850. It is a unique example of a typical country doctor's office. It has the original roofing, interior flooring, walls and shelves and exterior including decorative touches at the roof edge. It is open for viewing upon request in the main part of the museum. It was moved to the Museum grounds in order to preserve it and offer it for viewing.

This cache wouldn't be possible without the help of my co-cacher, Cosmicmama. (Shout Out!!!) Many thanks to her for all her help!!

FYI:
This cache would count for Page 23 on the North Carolina Delorme Challenge (GCTYE6), and for Northampton County on the North Carolina County Challenge (GC19YRC)
