This geocache is located near a beautiful ring of redwood trees surrounding a lovely open space. The spot is a favorite for area hikers who are "in the know". Camping is also allowed here, although a special permit is required.
The geocache is located about 40 feet outside the ring of redwood trees. It is a micro-sized container, but it is surrounded by a significantly larger camouflaged enclosure. The enclosure is designed to fit naturally into a wooded environment, although to experienced naturalists it will be clear that it is somewhat out of place at this particular spot.
Recommended trailheads are: N37 52.990 W122 14.722 (i.e. geocache GC13VJH) or N37 53.191 W122 13.941 (i.e. geocache GC13VJR). The latter trailhead is closer, but its access road (South Park Drive) is closed from November through April.
