Kansas City ranks second in the world in number of fountains erected in the city. Only Rome, Italy, has more. This is one in the series of fountain caches honoring this distinction.
This fountain is located in front of a highly visible office buidling that is commonly referred to by some as the "Darth Vader Building". Therefore we thought it appropriate that the fountain be referred to as the Darth Vader fountain.
