Welcome to the little, but friendly town of Tulelake!
Cache is in a plastic jar camouflaged by tape. Cache originally contained: M&M toy, stickers, seashell, golf ball, football key ring, ladybug toy, two travel bugs (one with a geocoin).
Tulelake is the "horseradish capital of the world." This land was once covered by a shallow lake. The fertile grounds were reclaimed in the early 1900s and awarded to homesteaders as well as turned into refuges. The region is rich in wildlife and history including home of the Lava Beds National Monument, Modoc Indian War, WWII Tule Lake Japanese Relocation & Segregation Camp, WWII German-Italian Prisoner of War Camp.
