caughtatwork: After 9 and a half years, some rough treatment and a bushfire, this cache has seen quite a lot. Alas, a theif is not something that can be survived. The poor ammo can is probably sitting in someones truck or shed, but hopefully being used for something useful. It is time to archive this listing and leave the location available for others to hide and then find.

Geocache Description:

The 84th cache by caughtatwork is a nice little stroll with some great views.

Blue Gum Track is one of the well defined tracks in the Lerderderg State Park.

A couple of hundred meters from the turnout area where you can park your car and you will appreciate the views across the highest hills in the park.

Fortunately for you and me, the cache is only around 50m into the bush from the track and you should leave the track just before it starts to dip significantly on the way to the floor of the ranges.

This cache has been placed the third of my CATS series.

Campaign Against The Small.

There are a plethora of small caches appearing around the traps and I believe it's always nice to find a larger sized cache, so here's one right here.

As you approach the cache you should encounter some xanthorrhoea which add to the enjoyment of this area. You can also check out the many small rocky outcroppings which show how these ranges have been formed. Sedimentary deposits have been thrust upwards and as they weather you can clearly see the lines as the sediments have been layed down.

You are looking for a 2 litre sistema container hidden inside an ammo can which has been disguised to match the surroundings.
