Sorry, this is a NANO Cache. There is no need to distrurb the natural area near the cache site. It is a couple feet from the sidewalk.
This is a brand new road in Salem, Bill Frey Drive. It links Salem Industrial Drive with Portland Road. But due to the railroads in the area, this road makes a big loop to gain elevation to go over the Union Pacific RR tracks.
In the center of this loop, the Salvation Army will be building a Kroc Community Center. The Kroc Foundation (of McD's fame) has donated significant money to the Salvation Army to build Kroc centers around the country. Salem was one of the lucky recipients of this grant. The center will feature an Aquatic Center among other activities, and will be open to the public. Expect big changes here!
Also around the loop is the Claggett Creek Natural Area. This should create a nice green space amongst this old industrial area.
