This is our second hidden cache near Custer, SD.
This cache is near a site that was photograghed by W.H. Illingworth, who accompanied Gen. George Armstrong Custer's Black Hills Expedition of 1874. For more information visit www.custertrail.com or the local Chamber of Commerce.
During the summer months there is a great deal of traffic that passes in front of the site so be certain to look both ways to prevent the site from being muggled. Watch your footing as you may your way to the cache and be certain to camouflage the cache and your steps as you leave. Be respectful of the private land in the area and remember, the Mickelson Trail is for non-motorized recreation only. Oh and watch out for the wire fence.
Original contents include: first find dollar, National Guard items and Smokey the Bear items.
