Geocache Description:


In a recent log entry Erickson suggested that this area could do with some more caches. He is right, of course, so here is a new one.

This cache is along the Ship Mast Trail in the Indian Tree Open Space (map...). You can reach the Ship Mast Trail by following the Big Trees Trail up from Vineyard or by taking the more direct route up the fire road from the end of Rebelo Lane.

The cache is located just off the trail. The coordinates are based on a long series of averages but GPSr reception may be spotty at the cache location. I took a couple of photos that you may want to use for assistance. You'll know you're in the right general location if you can see someone's attempt at a log cabin made out of redwood on the uphill side of the trail. The cache is an uncammo'd ammo box.
