Welcome to a series called “Reel Wilmington.” To many, Wilmington has become known as ‘Wilmywood’ or ‘Hollywood East.’ Since the 1980’s, our city has been the filming ground for commercials, popular TV shows, and feature length films. We’ve had many movie stars choose to relocate to this area (or at least store their boat here) because they fell in love with the quaint beauty and the relaxed atmosphere while in town filming.
In this series, we want to take you around Wilmington and the beaches to see some of the sights that have been on the big and small screens. Before visiting these caches, we encourage you to watch the movie or show (please monitor the rating, not all are appropriate for children) for maximum appreciation of the hide, though it’s not necessary to find them.
Welcome to the Inn. This Bed and Breakfast has been featured in Country Inns, Young Indiana Jones, Matlock, Dawsons Creek, One Tree Hill, Rambling Rose, Mary Jane's Last Dance, Cats Eye, The Locket, and The Water is Wide.
BYOP!
~~ We've found aquiring coordinates for this cache for difficult than others. A lot of trees over head. The new coordinates *should* place you directly over the cache, though who knows with the trees and clouds and everything else...
