Are you standing at the crossroads deciding if auto, train, boat or sea is the best option for leaving this place, or coming into it? While standing and letting the mind philosophic wander on the possibilities of staying or going why not sit down and plot out this cache. The weather is almost always overcast and mostly cloudy...read rain. But this is a nice hamlet to visit. If you have never been, there are lots of places for sea kayaking and there are some fabulous hikes in the area, be cautioned though, it is almost always wet here and so the slick rock is out in force.
Whether you come in by auto, train, boat, or walk the trek is worth it; come find this place. It is located at the base of the glacier and is still right in town. You cannot touch the ice from here, that will require a much more extensive hike.
