Ferry Springs Traditional Cache

The cache is on one of the trails on the Deschutes river. Always watch out for snakes.
This cache is up the trail from Traveling the 1860's highway. After hiking up the hot and dry trail this little spring seems like an oasis. You can just imagine how the horses or mules that were pulling the wagons to or from the ferry would appreciate the cool water. You can follow the trail in a loop back to the old railroad bed that goes up the Deschutes.
