Traditional cache, traditional hide, walking required the last 300+ feet, desert landscape, must cross a small arroyo. Not handicapped accessible.
Isn't it appropriate that Garfield the Cat should have a "kitty-cat" cache in Garfield, NM? Now Garfield (the cat) is only 29 years old, but Garfield, NM got its first post office in 1896 making it 111 years old. Now just a small farming community, with irrigation water from the Rio Grande, the valley is a green oasis in the desert with fields of chile, alfalfa, cotton and corn. Take the slow route through the valley and enjoy its agricultural richness.
This is a theme cache for cats of course! It's stocked with lots of cat-like things...cat toys, cat stickers, cat books (Garfield's 16th and others), cat socks, bags made from Garfield fabric, GeoMouse #96, a cat stamp, and a whistle on a lanyard.
Park at N 32 46.705, W 107 15.845, cross the fence at the X.
