Geocache Description:


This is what is left of the flooding caused from the dam that was under the I-75 business loop in grayling by the city park. The dam was removed a couple years ago and replaced by the rapids you see now, and they are removing a replacement dam at the rate of lowering the water 3” per year so in a few more years there will be only water in the area where the original river was many years ago, before the dam was placed to help in the logging years in the early 1900’s Be sure to enjoy the walk back along the river many of michigans wild flowers along the walk. Who all can tell us what the michigan offical wild flower is.
