Cet aéroport est géré par la Chambre de
commerce et d'industrie de Brest. L'histoire de l'aéroport débute
par un hangar des américains durant la première guerre
mondiale.
L'aérogare actuelle a été inaugurée en
1986. Actuellement une nouvelle aérogare est en construction et
devra être mise en service en 2007.Vue du ciel la future aérogare
aura la forme d'une raie Manta.
La piste d'une longueur de 3 100 m
accueille régulièrement des vols d'essai d'Airbus dans le cadre des
programmes de certification de l'avionneur. Le dernier gros-porteur
européen, l'Airbus A380, est ainsi venu à Brest à 14 reprises
depuis le 20 septembre 2006, date de ses premiers essais par vent
de travers à la pointe bretonne.
L’emplacement de la cache est très
simple : c’est une belle allée bucolique bordée
d’arbres gigantesques dont des hêtres centenaires. Il
s’agit surtout d’un endroit idéalement placé pour un TB
Hôtel car à environ 500 mètres des parkings de l’aéroport.
Alors, voyageurs sur le départ ou le retour, ou simple
promeneur, n’hésitez pas à venir lui rendre visite.

Désigne une geocache dont le but est de
fournir un point d'échange de Travel Bugs. Ce sont des récipients
au moins 'Regular' ou plus grand.
Si vous venez en véhicule allez au
point de stationnement : 48°26.359N – 04°24.997W
Prenez le
sentier le plus proche, il mène à une allée bordée de grands
arbres, au pied de l’un d’eux la cache est
placée.
* Petite aide
en raison de la difficulté possible de réception due aux
arbres : Compter 50 pas après le début de l’allée
représentée par un amas de béton au sol.
