Geocache Description:

26/7/10
Due to the safe being MUGGLED I have now placed a micro in the ammo-boxs location

Sorry about this but if I had left it there I am sure the ammo-box would have ended up going as well.

So this cache is a straight forward Tradional

This cache was a traditional with a multi thrown in, if you want it.
The cache had a safe inside it!! To crack the code - see info below, but you can also visit the cache without going into the safe. There are two log books in this cache - one in the safe and one in the cache itself.
It is set in a public gardens (so beware of muggles) by permission of the park's General Manager.

Your mission - to crack the safe combination if you accept it, can by done in one of four ways: A) By phone (let your fingers do the walking), B) Drive by (lazy) or C) Walk (keep fit) or D) Tinternet (Even Lazyer).
Free parking for C (see waypoint) is the local railway station.
You now have to walk up the high street, visit 3 locations and make a note of the street number on the door. What could be easier than that!!

1. HSBC N53 20.125 W003 24.311
2. NAT WEST N53 20.105 W003 24.319
3. LLOYDS TSB N53 19.965 W003 24.093
(see gallery for photos of above locations)

Carry on walking up to the cache location. There are plenty of benches en-route and in the park if you want to stop and watch the world go by.
When you retrieve the cache, keeping a lookout for muggles, and are ready to open the safe , just use the first number from 1, the secound number from 2, and the third number from 3. Now you have cracked the combination sign the log and say a few words, make a swap and thanks for visiting.
Now for the nice stroll back down town .

Congratulations to all the Wildtrekker's especially Miss Wildtrekker (only 10 days old, and has a FTF) who were First to Find this Geocache on the 6/7/07.

Interesting facts about Prestatyn:
Population 25,000. Artefacts have been discovered that date back as far as prehistoric times. Fossils can be seen in abundance around Graig Fawr and the Bryniau. The Romans' XX Legion had their headquarters in Chester, and it is presumed that an auxiliary detachment was based in a fort, where Ysgol-y-Llys in Princes Avenue is now to be found. A Roman Bath House was excavated in 1984 at a site in Melyd Avenue.

Offa's Dyke Path:
This path is a famous route that starts at Prestatyn and finishes in the Sedbury cliffs, near Chepstow and is 177 miles long! Offa's dyke path runs along the England/Wales border and attracts many people every year.

20/10/08 Stop Press -

Japanese Banks
Following the problems in the sub-prime lending market in America and the run on Northern Rock in the UK , uncertainty has now hit Japan.
In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.
Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived.
While Samurai Bank are soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank are reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.
Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal.
