Geocache Description:

This is a four-stage multi in Monument area with a math puzzle at the end to find the micro. (Bring your own pen.) You may need to learn a bit about UTM coordinates and setting your GPSr for that.

Teacher: Billy, use ‘Geometry’ in a sentence.

Billy: Once there was an acorn. It grew and grew and one day said, “Gee, I’m a tree!”

This cache has been ravaged a few times - waypoint 1 twice by construction, waypoint 2 by fire and the final somewhat threatened currently by, hopefully temporary, construction. All have been restored although slightly changed from the original. Parking close to the final may be difficult.

On the second waypoint, recommend going north uphill about 400 feet to a crossing trail and then east on that trail to get around the ridge. Going straight to the cache over the ridge means bushwhacking through dense scrub oak.
