This is a cache to honor Gotfish? 1000th find. This guy owns Santa Barbara as far as we are concerned. This all started with The Chick coming up here to visit her grandmother. She found a couple of caches by someone named Gotfish? She said they were great, and we should check out some more of his caches. We did, and loved them. Soon, we found ourselves driving up here every other weekend, just to do Gotfish? caches. It seemed we should meet this guy, and set up a lunchtime meeting on our next trip. We did, and a frienship was born. We often hike together now, and we are always amazed at the incredible destinations that he always provides. If you are looking for quality caches, then you need to look no further than a Gotfish? cache. If challenging park and grabs are your thing (Crikey, and Snake IN The Grass instantly come to mind) then look no further, just don't leave the motor running. If you are a numbers type person, might we suggest that you keep driving. If you love challenging hikes, and spectacular destinations, then again, look no further. (Horse thieves cave, Dragons Back, and Goat Rock instantly come to mind here) We also loved his homestead caches, and the More Mesa series. Everything this guy does, is awesome. Someone had to recognize this kilo achievment, and we were proud to do it. Now on to the cache. Trail the whole way. At one point early in the hike, you will find yourself within 250' of the cache. DO NOT take the direct approach, keep walking, and stay on the trail. Lets keep with the hiking/fishing theme if you trade. So here you go Marc, thank you, and congratulations on 1000 finds/adventures.
DISCLAIMER......The above description was intended to be a compliment to one of the very best hiders we have met. It was in no way, shape, or form intended to discredit all of the other incredible hiders that Santa Barbara (or anywhere else for that matter) has to offer.
