This historical landmark was shown to me by a friend. The cache
is hidden in the parking lot, but if you would like, the chapel is
open to the public during the day. It is a quiet and peaceful
place. The original building was completed in 1851, and was
restored a few years back.
Please be respectful while visiting the chapel and grounds, as
it also houses the church's missionaries. Unless the gate is
actually padlocked, you are welcome to lift the U shaped latch and
enter the grounds.
This cache is for trading coins. Please only
take a coin if you bring one to replace it. You can still sign the
log even if you don't bring a coin to trade. Geocoins are also
welcome. The container is a round altoids tin.
Original contents include a small pencil and logbook, a pencil
sharpener...please leave it in the cache...and several coins,
including a Maui trade dollar, a smashed Maui penny, a sacagewea
dollar, a Susan B Anthony dollar, a few canadian coins, and some
others.
If you feel the urge, go ahead and ring the bell in the
chapel...it is the first thing the smaller Angry Eyebrows team
members do when we visit.
