Geocache Description:

In Rockwood Park on the south shore of Frying Pan Lake. Park at Fisher Lake on the shore near the bridge and take the trail that heads north to the zoo. It is a wide gravel trail fit for bicycles or strollers. A footpath cuts off the main trail on the south shore of Frying Pan Lake.

This cache was created and placed by the Outdoor Pursuits students of Saint John High School. Students did research on local watersheds and pamphlets were prepared describing them. It is part of a pilot project, "Geocache Your Watershed", being conducted by four schools across Canada. Through this initiative, High School Students will learn about their watershed and experience their own outdoor discovery of its unique features.

Frying Pan Lake is a part of the Marsh Creek Watershed in Saint John. The watershed consists of five major tributaries and approximately twenty lakes and ponds.
