The OLD LAKE – ein Naturjuwel Multi-Cache

Dieser Cache ist als Fortsetzung zu meinem Cache „LAKE TRISTACH“ gedacht. Der Alte See ist ein Naturdenkmal mit dem Charakter eines Moores bzw. Sumpfes. Der Cache ist für jedermann in etwa einer 3/4 Stunde locker machbar. Es sind keinerlei besondere Fähigkeiten erforderlich.

Starte bei den folgenden Koordinaten:
N: 46°48.465
E: 012°47.450

Stage1 – vier Fragen:
Bei einem Sparziergang einmal rund um den Alten See findest Du alle Informationen, die Du zur Beantwortung der folgenden Fragen benötigst:

1.       Das Biotop liegt 250 m westlich des Tristacher Sees. Wie groß ist es?

Wenn 1,5 km², dann A = 500
Wenn 1,5 ha , dann A = 250
Wenn 1,5 m² , dann A = 100

2.       Der Alte See ist ein idealer Ort für Libellen. Libellen sind die größten Insekten am See und großartige Flieger. Wie viele verschiedene Arten kommen hier im Sommer vor?

Wenn 2, dann B = 111
Wenn 3, dann B = 222
Wenn 4, dann B = 333

3.       Der Alte See ist auch der Lebensraum der Erdkröte (Bufo bufo). Wie groß kann diese Kröte maximal werden?

Wenn Weibchen 15 cm, Männchen 10 cm, dann C = 630
Wenn Weibchen 10 cm, Männchen 15 cm, dann C = 750
Wenn Weibchen 15 cm, Männchen 15 cm, dann C = 860

4.       Die Stockente (Anas platyrhynchos) ist die häufigste Ente am Alten See. Zähle die Eier im abgebildeten Gelege!

Wenn 10, dann E = 2
Wenn 12, dann E = 4
Wenn 14, dann E = 5

Stage2 – Gedenkstein:
Direkt beim Gedenkstein findest Du einen kleinen Behälter mit den Koordinaten des finalen Caches.

Stage3 – der Cache:
Trotz einer Reihe von Messungen hatte ich Probleme die Position exakt zu bestimmen. Eine Abweichung ist daher durchaus möglich. Spoilerfoto nicht vergessen! Das Versteck wird von zwei großen, fetten Spinnen bewacht - Vorsicht, vielleicht haust hier auch noch anderes Getier!

This cache has been created as a sequel to my cache „LAKE TRISTACH“. The Old Lake is a natural monument with the appearance of a swamp. This cache can easily be done by everybody within three quarter hours. No special skills are needed.

Stage 1 – four questions to answer:
On a walk once around the Old Lake you can get all the information you need to answer the following questions:

1.       The biotop is situated 250 m to the west of Lake Tristach. How large is it

If 1,5 km², then A = 500
If 1,5 ha , then A = 250
If 1,5 m² , then A = 100

2.       The Old Lake is a ideal place for dragonflies. Dragonflies are the biggest insects at the lake and great fliers. How many different kinds can be found here in summer?

If 2, then B = 111
If 3, then B = 222
If 4, then B = 333

3.       The Old Lake is also the habitat of the common European toad. (Bufo bufo). What is the maximum size of this toad?

If female 15 cm, male 10 cm, then C = 630
If female 10 cm, male 15 cm, then C = 750
If female 15 cm, male 15 cm, then C = 860

4.       The mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) ist the most common duck at the Old Lake. Count the eggs in the pictured clutch/nest!

Stage 2 – memorial stone:
Close to the memorial stone you can find a small container with the coordinates of the final cache inside.

In spite of a series of measurements i had problems to fix the exact ly possible, sorry! Don’t forget the spoilerphoto! The hiding place is guarded by two big, fat spiders - please be careful, perhaps some other critters and reptiles are living here!
