Powder River Camp Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LewM & SandiM: I really thought we had archived this cache some time ago. My mistake. This is an excellent spot for a cache in most respects. When we placed it, we were traveling by it on a regular basis. Now, the one big negative reason, for us, is that it is a couple hundred miles away. That is the reason for us to archive it. Hopefully, this will open up a chance for someone far more local to place a new cache here. Thanks to all who found it a gave it favorite points!

Geocache Description:

Quick on and off I94 with a history lesson.

The cache is located in an interpretive pull-out on the frontage road. It overlooks the confluence of the Yellowstone and Powder Rivers near where Capt Clark and his party camped on their journey down the Yellowstone in 1806. Take a minute and walk around and read the signs.
Please rehide it as good as you found it...it is a 375 mile round trip for us to check on it. Thanks!
