Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden near the turn around spot close to the top of the Brown Mtn.trail between Silverton and Ouray at 11,800 ft. elevation. Four wheel drive transportation is recommended.

Near the turn around area are a few rock piles called "cairns". Hikers and other travelers often make these small landmarks in memory of their visit to a special place. It is not necessary to dismantle any cairns or to remove any rocks from the piles. You are looking for a small camo covered bottle containing a small log and a pencil stub. There is room for small items or micro coins. This is not a difficult hide, so don't put a lot of thought into it. My gpsr was reading at an accuracy of 10 ft. Be careful not to crush any of the small flowers that are all around this area.
