The String of Pearls caches have been placed to celebrate the string of gorgeous beaches along the N.W. Saanich Peninsula shore. North Saanich has done sterling work putting in public beach accesses to these gems, and the least we can do is visit them:) Low tide is more fun.
If you find small broken inner tubes on the beach, they'll be the remains of the moon snail's egg cases. Cool, eh? We didn't spot any actual snails; maybe you'll be more lucky. (Obviously, as usual, don't disturb, just observe.)
