"I Believe in A Free Narnia." ~ Mister Tumnus the Faun

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis has become a timeless classic that is loved by children and adults alike. Mister Tumnus is a Faun--a Narnian creature with the head and body of a man, but the legs and feet of a goat. He is the first person that Lucy meets when she enters Narnia. Although his heart is good, Tumnus has been pressured into the service of the White Witch, the evil ruler of Narnia, promising her to capture any humans he finds in the Narnian woods. As he gets to know Lucy, he realizes his error and resolves to defy the witch, help the child escape, and take the consequences.

Later, Lucy's brother Edmund finds himself in Narnia as well. Seduced by the White Witch's promises of power, he unwittingly (but not innocently) betrays Tumnus, which leads to the arrest of the faun. When Tumnus learns of his danger, he enlists the help of the Beavers to protect and guide the children should they return to Narnia.
