Geocache Description:

Small painted plastic container a bit larger than a film can. An easy walk from the road and plenty of parking.

The early Irish settlers of Texas were almost all Catholics and many of them were buried here in St. Joseph's Cemetery which was established in 1893. Look around and see all of the Irish names and think about the life of hardship they lived in early Texas. Enjoy the wonderful shade under the beautiful oak trees that were planted by a descendant of those early Irish settlers. You won't need your compass here as you can just take your direction from the gravesites, in this the earliest section of the cemetary. All of the graves lie at an angle to the road, all facing East toward the rising sun. Bird watching is great here too, especially in the winter.

CONGRATULATIONS to wayliee - FIRST TO FIND!!
