This is a micro container with a few trinkets (literally!) and coins for trade if you are so inclined. It is placed just off the All American Trail, which is a public hiking trail that surrounds Fort Bragg military base. Keeping in mind that geocaching rules prohibit caches on military bases, this cache is not IN Fort Bragg, but outside of the base just off a public access trail.
Let Freedom Ring and support our fellow Americans who put their lives on the line every day!!
The following was copied from the website www.allamericantrail.org:
The All American Trail is now OPEN
Now open to the public daily from dawn to dusk.
(Note closures posted at trailheads).
The purpose of the All American Trail is to provide an educational and scenic recreational pathway for hikers, runners, and bicyclers - horses are not permitted.
The All American Trail is a 10-15 ft. wide unpaved pathway. The trail (currently 10 miles long) follows the perimeter boundary of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Along with its beautiful longleaf pine forests and meadows, the Sandhills includes an array of rare plants and endangered wildlife species.
Trailheads are located at: 1) Intersection of the Fort Bragg Boundary Road and Raeford-Vass Road (near Plank Road), 2) Intersection of Plank and King Roads.
FYI:
This cache should count for Page 72 on the North Carolina Delorme Challenge (GCTYE6), and for Hoke County on the North Carolina County Challenge (GC19YRC)
