The first stage of this multi cache is located on Hilbre Island in the Dee Estuary at coordinates 53°23.036'N, 3°13.705'W (the listed cache coordinates).
Hilbre is a tidal island and is cut off from the main land for up to 4 hours every 12 hours so you need to plan your visit carefully.
Access to the Island is by foot from Dee Lane slipway, West Kirby, via two other islands, Little Eye and Middle eye. It is a two mile walk each way. Because of deep gullies it is dangerous to try and cross in any other place.
IMPOERTANT SAFETY INFORMATION PLEASE READ
https://www.wirral.gov.uk/leisure-parks-and-events/parks-and-open-spaces/hilbre-islands-local-nature-reserve details about the Island and how to cross safely.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast-and-sea/tide-tables/5/461#tide-details for tide times
As Hilbre Island is a Nature Reserve no physical cache has been hidden there. When you arrive at stage 1 coordinates look down to find a number.
Subtract the number from 104 to find aa
Subtract the number from 92 to find bb
Stage 2 is located back on the main land very near.
53°aa.000'N, 3°bb.000'W
I like round numbers so I didn’t give you the exact co-ordinates. When you arrive at Stage 2 it will be obvious what you have come to see (provided you have done your sums right).
The final Location where you will find the goodies and log book can be found at
53°cc.dd4'N, 3°0f.ee8'W
cc is 5 miles beyond Moel Fammau.
dd is the direction of Birkenhead in round figures.
ee is 4 miles beyond the Snowdon Range.
f is 19 mile nearer than Beeston Castle.
The cache is a small plastic box with the usual sort of contents.
Good Luck
The Dean Team
