Geocache Description:

Colonial property boundary marker.

The cache container is an olive drab ammo can, original contents: Logbook, hot wheels car, orange cyalume chemlight, mini-links, blinker, and new keyring flashlight. Things that can be encountered during visit: Bald eagles, old growth forest, wild orchids, hummingbirds, wetlands, bird songs, miles of trails, history, and much more. Dense forest canopy may pose a challenge to some GPS systems.

Notes:

  • Due to the bald eagle habitat, it is unlawful to approach this cache by water.
  • Please do not stray off the trails.
  • The park closes at sunset.
  • To see bald eagles, hike to Boyd's Hole (seasonal).
  • There is an honor parking fee charged to enter the park.
  • Two wheelers: gravel road.
