New Horizons Traditional Cache

The "New Horizons" cache is a park-and-hike/climb at Quartz Mountain State Park with a rewarding view at the top! Plan for 40 minutes of hiking up (mostly on rock) to the top of a 500-foot high peak. Park at the "New Horizons" trail marker, and navigate your way to the top in the shape of a backwards number 7 (a westward ascent, then a final eastward ascent) to get to the cache. Recommend dry weather only. You're looking for a round fruit cake tin. Please conceal the cache to prevent a fifth muggling.
Note: This is a popular hike, so please do not litter. In fact, Cache-In and Trash-Out (CITO). Whenever I conduct cache maintenance on New Horizons, I bring a large garbage bag that I easily stuff full of plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and other trash on the way down. There's a trash dumpster at the bottom. Thanks!
