An easily found cache in the village of Langham, Essex
Lying to the north east of Colchester, the ancient village of Langham is today a friendly and vibrant community. The local pub, the 12th century church and the local school are all well attended, with the Langham Community Centre and adjacent recreation field offering a number of popular activities, including a tennis club, various football teams and an active Scout Group – 2nd Langham Scouts.
There is a lot of history in and around the village. During the war, an airfield was constructed (known as Boxted Airfield Station 150). It is mentioned in the Doomsday book.
To the north of Langham (down the hill from the church) is the Essex Way, the Stour valley and the villages of Stratford St Mary and Dedham. John Constable painted around these parts……

This geocache is placed on a little used footpath within the village. It is easily accessible for those on a cache and dash mission (there is easy access to/from the A12), but also lends itself to be included in a more adventurous hike……
