Geocache Description:

35 mm film canister hidden near one of New Orleans' oldest landmarks. Beware of muggles!

This building has the distiction of being the only one to have served as a United States and Confederate mint. Coins were minted here from 1838 to 1909. It was converted into a museum in 1981 and was closed for nearly two years following Hurricane Katrina.
