Another beautiful area in the Catskill Mountains. Cache is a quick
walk from the pull off but I rated the terrain higher because one
wrong step can cause serious injury or death.
I am not sure how bad the waters get after a storm but use
caution anyway. There might be the chance that the cache might go
underwater at times of the year. If this is the case the terrain
will be a 5+.
Please walk around an explore the area, get your feet wet, maybe
even bring a book and just relax. Just don't forget your
camera!
There are numerous waterfalls below this spot and if you look
just down the road there is a trail that takes you "safely" down to
them. Do not try to get to them from the cache site...although I
did see a rockclimber ring on one of the trees.
There are many trails in the area so please hike them if you
like and maybe even bring your own cache to place. Hint, Hint.
