5/7/08 ATTENTION: Due to portal reorganization, this cache will be archived by mid summer, so if you want to do it, please get there soon. There will be a new style container and puzzle in place as a replacement.
Go to the cache coordinates and solve the puzzle, then enter the portal at WP 2 and finish your search!
At the cache coordinates, use the information on the plaque and do the following substitutions:
! = line 4 , 4th letter
@ = third number of first date
# = fourth number of third date
$ = first number + fourth number of third date
% = second number of second date
^ = second number of final date
& = line 2, first letter
* = line 5, third letter
( = line 5, first letter

After solving the puzzle, proceed to WP #2 N 39 31.176 W 104 46.015 and enter the portal for your search. Portal hours are Monday - Thursday 9AM - 9PM, Friday and Saturday 9AM – 5PM, Sunday Noon – 5PM. Closed holidays.
At this location you will find a container holding the logbook. It has room for small items and travel bugs.
For more information on the history of the area, you might also want to stop at the virtual cache GCA612 Douglas #3 20-Mile House just west of WP 1. There is also a nice stagecoach sculpture just to the south of the plaque.
