The BodBox is located on the campus of beautiful Washburn
University. The 160-acre Washburn campus is located in the center
of Topeka, the capital of Kansas. The 7,200 students enrolled there
are offered more than 200 programs leading to certification,
associate, bachelor, master’s and juris doctor degrees through the
College of Arts and Sciences and the schools of Applied Studies,
Business, Law and Nursing. Washburn University was established in
February 1865 as Lincoln College. In 1868, the school was renamed
Washburn College, in recognition of a $25,000 donation by Ichabod
Washburn, a church deacon and resident of Worcester, Mass. Ichabod
Washburn was respected as a man of public spirit and strong moral
character, virtues students sought to reflect with the adoption of
the
Ichabod as the school mascot. For the first 70 years, however,
the mascot existed in name only. It wasn't until 1938 that the
original design of the studious-looking, tuxedo-clad figure was
created by Bradbury Thompson (ba 34) who became a nationally
recognized graphic artist.
Today, the thriving Washburn University provides broadly-based
liberal arts and professional education by combining the most
effective modes of educating: accomplished faculty, small class

The BodBox is a camo-painted Tupperware-style container. Initial
items include Washburn pens, highlighter, and other assorted items.
There is an Ichabod Koozie as a first-to-find prize!
As with any university, parking can be a problem at times,
especially during weekdays in the fall and spring. Weekends and
evenings would be the best. Visitor parking can be found in the lot
at 17th and College (N 39 02.196 W 95 42.038). If that is full,
then there is almost always parking available in the Petro lot at N
39 01.998 W 95 41.856. While this lot needs a parking permit,
campus police are very nice and will help you out if you are
ticketed
