Whatever you do you must plan to have fish 'n' chips afterwards at Herbert Fisheries on the dock in town - you won't be disappointed! To cool off, a swim in the warm water of George Lake in the Provincial Park is ideal. There's a store in town where you can buy supplies, and we recommend taking a bottle of water on the hike.
Find the lighthouse by following the airport signs onto Ontario St., fork right onto the lighthouse road and park by the gate.
You can walk the rocks for a better view and fewer bugs (but you need good ankles) or you can take the unmaintained, nearly nonexistent and challenging bush trail that starts at approximately N 45 58.149, W 81 29.296. For those new to geocaching, note that the difficulty rating is relative to our family's skill sets and not every geocacher out there so please don't push yourself for your own safety and comfort.
The cache (a large white Tupperware box with red lid) originally contained: Garfield bookmark, sponge fish, magnet clip, silver nail polish, bear, floppy disk and 4 music CD's.
