Geocache Description:

This is a SERVICE cache where travel bugs and other trackable items can be placed and retrieved quickly and easily. It's a very easy find but is for TRACKABLE items only. Please do not leave any thing that cannot be tracked.

The idea for this cache came from an on line conversation with a fellow geocacher from Britian who is currently serving in Iraq. I realized that there are a lot of caches over there and a lot of travel bugs trying to get out of the country. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to help a travel bug who, for whatever reason, was having a hard time getting out of its cache,,,no matter where it was? Kind of an express train for travelers?

So...the idea for the AMBEST Travel Bug Express came about.

This is a very easy cache to find. It's at the AMBest car/truck stop right off of I-40 west. Easy in, easy out. It's open 24/7, well lit, flat ground, excellent visibility....bathrooms, restaurants and general merchandise for sale. There is a Wal Mart within sight.

Trucks are routed away from cars (and thus, away from where the cache was placed). It's a great pit stop for gas, food, bathroom breaks, dog walking. etc. There is even repair service for the big rigs.

Travel Bug Express is located in the corner of the parking lot closest to the I 40 West ramp, near the fence that separates the parking lot from the ramp. It is far enough away from the action that Mugglers should not be a problem but still, keep an eye out. And even though this is the safest place for a cache to be placed, you still need to be careful of motor vehicles.

Initially, 3 travel bugs were placed in the cache. Also, 2 unactivated travel bugs were left for First to Find and Second to Find. Originally it was a camouflaged Tupperware container about 8 x 10 x 6 inches but this went missing last January and so I replaced it... Now it's a camouflaged Tupperware container about 8 x 10 x 6 inches and it's about 10 ft away from the original Magellan coordinates. I did a woops in that I logged it as a note so some people were (not) pleasantly surprised to see the cache had shrunk.

Please help move trackable items that are having a hard time meeting their goals. And again...please...leave no items that cannot be tracked.
