Geocache Description:

This is an event for families that enjoy caching together. We’ll set up “unofficial” caches throughout Guajome Park , sort of like a summer version of an Easter egg hunt. We’ll have full size caches with new “treasures” – not Happy Meal toys or golf balls, but fun stuff that the kids will really enjoy finding. You’re welcome to bring one to hide yourself, or just bring fun items to trade. We hope to have at least a dozen “hides”. After the event these caches will removed. The event will from noon to 3 p.m. Pack a picnic lunch and a blanket and if you feel like it, bring a dessert to share. We’ll provide cold drinks and some snacks. We’ll have a free raffle for a movie theater goodie bag – 4 movie passes, some fun movie promotional items like a Blade’s Of Glory jacket, Mimzy backpack and lots more, provided by a local movie theater chain. Individuals or businesses interested in donating additional items to be raffled are encouraged to contact me directly. Guajome is a beautiful park in Oceanside, with a lake, playground and lots of greenery and interesting places to hide caches. For those of you who haven’t been there, fairies and gnomes have also hidden some real caches that are waiting to be found. We hope to have lots of kids, but it will also be a great way to introduce someone to the sport, so bring along some friends. Parking is $3 or you can park nearby for free at 33 14.763 117 16.231.
Raffle will take place at 2PM.
