Geocache Description:

Many years ago a story was passed down from the elders, a story of great herds of shaved butt sheep that migrated through this area on their way to their liar down along the sandy beaches of lake Michigan. The settlers of this area waited for the great herds to arrive on their yearly journey. They cleared the land for the sheep to pass safely and set out great piles of feed for them. The towns people erected a great bridge to help the sheep make their way across the mighty river of Lewis. Much to the towns dismay one year the sheep did not appear and the towns people feared that the trolls of the river Lewis might have made a feast of their beloved sheep. The towns people were distraught that the sheep were gone and set out to destroy the trolls that lived under the great bridge. The towns people rerouted the river of Lewis and sent it deep underground in hopes that the trolls would leave and the sheep would return. This cache is in memory of the shaved butt sheep that once visited this great area. If you have any stories of the great shaved butt sheep, please tell us in your posting or set out a new cache in their memory for us to visit. Please return/leave the markers as you found them. Also, you will need to bring something to sign the log with.

We used a Garmin etrex for marking the coordinates.
