Geocache Description:

You are looking in Black Hawk State Historic Site for a camouflaged plastic container. There is room for small TBs and trade items. Very little bushwacking is needed (about 5 feet). Obvious hiding place - no need to dig around in the weeds/poison ivy nearby.

Waterfallfrog used to live near Black Hawk State Park (now Black Hawk State Historic Site), and as a child almost lived there hiking the trails. Toto1 as a child took weekly "trash out" hikes to the park from grandma's house. The park, voted one of the "7 Wonders of Illinois" is filled with historical monuments, a statue of Black Hawk, the Watchtower Lodge, the Hauberg Indian Museum, and the Civilian Conservation Corps museum. You may want to visit those places while you are in the park. (See the site's website at (visit link) )

There were no caches in the park on the river side of the highway, so we are placing some there. Permission to place the cache was obtained from the Black Hawk State Historic Site. These are our first caches we've placed, so feedback would be appreciated. This is the third of 4 caches we are placing now, inspired by BGT's "7 in '07".

The original cache contains child-friendly objects: crayons, jacks and ball, magnets, frog, 3 lizards, and 8 balls (Disney Princess, Winnie the Pooh, and various miniature sports balls). Also contains 2 new TBs I'm launching that are in a race with each other.

Please replace the cache so nothing is visible to prevent it being muggled.
