Nice easy walk. One stile, well defined path. Please note that the path is on a slope and can be VERY muddy and SLIPPERY for a long time after rain as it is on a north facing slope and very shaded.
Takes you past the site of a royalist battle in ABCD. Follows the cotswold way. Unsuitable for push chairs as there is a large stile
Park at the coordinates given. Be careful this is along a very busy and fast road. walk to information board just off the road. gather the following:
date of battle = ABCD
Weight of shot from the main cannons = E
then substitute into;
N 51 25.(B+D)0(D-A) W002 23.(E-A)(B+D)B
This should head you off down the path towards and past the monument. You are looking for small seal 'n' lock box. Please make sure it is well hidden when you leave.
You do not need to cross any fences. Please do not be tempted to cross back over the field as there is barbed wire on the gates.
The box lid is cracked so please make sure the log bag is well closed before replacing. Thanks
