This cache is located in the Kgalagadi National Park.
You have to pay a fee to enter the park - if you have a South African Parks Wild Card, it will cost a bit less.
It is not recommended to visit this place in any other vehicle than a 4x4, the roads are all gravel and in a poor condition. It is, however, a worth while trip if you decide to go.
Farmer Johannes Petrus Human made a simple existence on his farm, Auchterlonie, in earlier years.
The farm house was restored in 2004 to its current state and the now museum, harbours a piece of local history and poses an incredible view of parts of the Kalahari.
The cache is a lunch box size container and is well hidden. Very few people have permanent residence close to this location, so if any maintenance is needed, please assist to keep the cache in good order. It is well hidden, so should be safe from most of nature's elements.
Please refrain from placing goodies in the cache that may attract rodents.
Hope you enjoy finding this cache! This is a spot where one can also take a break from driving, get out of your vehicle and empty that coffee flask.
Enjoy the search, but be careful, you are still in an area where wild animals roam!
