IgnotusPeverell: Greetings. I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers for geocaches submitted to Geocaching.com.

Geocache Description:

Nice easy find close to major highway. Interesting stop for history fans, and a fun stop for the kids.

PLEASE NOTE - PUZZLE HAS CHANGED

This cache is located at the free Wyman Living History Museum east of Craig, CO. Permission was granted by the owner to place this cache here. You must visit this cache during business hours, they are open everyday except Wed. - Hours for Mon. Tue. Thur. and Fri. are from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. They are also open on Sat. and Sun. from 11 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. The real cache is not at the coordinates listed on this page, these coordinates will put you at the door to the museum. Inside the front door and just to your left is the office desk. On top of this desk on the right hand side is a yellow Colorado license plate. Please note the year it was made, 19??. To find the true coordinates to the real cache you'll need to take the digits for ?? from the plate and add it to the last two numbers in the north coordinates of this following location. N40 30.752 W107 28.943 The west coordinates are correct and do not need any math.
The cache started out with some nice treasures, and 5 Travel Bugs.
This is also intended to be a travel bug resting spot as well as a traditional cache. Please drop a travel bug if you retrive one. Help keep the fun going.
This is an excellent museum and we suggest that you take the time to look it over. It is free. Please sign the guest book and note that you are a geocacher to log your visit on site. The visit with “Clyde” the elk is worth the stop. He is huge!! Clyde has passed on to roam free in elk heaven, but there is a new elk named JR to see now. Clyde has been stuffed and is on display in the museum. Also there is a fine local craft store here. Plus a real working turn of the century black smith shop. Also new for 2008 is an excellent trophy antler room. There are events staged throughout the year, everything from car shows to mountain man rendezvous'. Have fun!!
